FAQ Water Purification

Do you have an expiry date on the bottles?

We do not have an expiry date on the bottles; the stamp would not stick to the label.

WPS kit will be full strength for 2 to 4 years, and we make enough at a time to last a few weeks.

CDS and CDH will be at full strength for at least a year, and we will make enough at a time last for a few days. They may still work after this time but will slowly lose their potency. Keep in mind that at the end of the bottle, CDS may only last for weeks because the air will deactivate it. You could try to put it in a smaller bottle.

Can you freeze the plastics bottles?

They may come frozen, but this is out.

Where are your water purification supplies sourced from?

We source all water purification solutions, bottles and labels from within Canada. All bottling and manufacturing are made in Canada. We are proud of WPS to be a product of Canada.

What is the difference between CDS and CDH 3000 PPM?

Our most popular product, CDS 3000 PPM, is made by activating Part A and B in a glass inside a glass container for 12 hours with water in it. The water then has pure CDS.

CDH 3000 PPM is our least popular and is made with the activator still in it and made with Part A and Hydrochloric Acid (HCL). It also takes 12 hours to activate.

CDH is stronger than CDS. CDS tastes better than CDH.

Why are there four different Water purification Kits, Part A and Part B?

Part A has two kits 22.4% and 25% Sodium Chlorite. They both make CDS, just the 25% is a little stronger. Some people like one more than the other.

Part B has two bottles in a kit of Citric Acid and Hydrochloric Acid (HCL). Citric Acid works by activating Part A. HCL works the same, but some people like the taste better. HCL is in your stomach already.

How is your Sodium Chlorite Solution made?

We get 25% Sodium Chlorite Solution from a supplier in Canada. To make the 22.4% solution, we diluted it with distilled water.

We find this is superior to using 80% Sodium Chlorite Powder Flakes as it has no impurity to filter out after mixing it with the distilled water, unlike the powder version.

What is the standard of your Sodium Chlorite Solution Part A?

Our Sodium Chlorite Solution is Certified by NSF/ANSI Standard 60 for use in drinking water for chlorine dioxide production at a maximum of 28 mg/L.

NSF certification requires testing to NSF standards for contact with drinking water, food, etc.

What is the quality of Hydrochloric Acid (HCL) Part B?

We have a high-quality food-grade Hydrochloric Acid ACS tested by a quality assured ISO 9001:2015 certified company to verify the material meets food Chemical Codex 5th ED.

What is the quality of Citrus Acid Part B?

Citrus Acid is food grade, mixed 50 to 50 ratio from powder to professional distilled water.
